Ashtanga Hridaya – Chikitsa / Sutra Sthana (Lepa context)

औषधीनां चूर्णं वा कल्पयेत् पेषणेन वा ।
कालनिर्णययुक्तं तु लेपः कार्यो विशेषतः ॥

🩸 INGREDIENTS
◼ Kalka Dravya :
Any herb / drug prescribed in respective disease, made into fine paste.

◼ Drava Dravya :
Water, Milk, Ghrita, or other disease-specific liquid – Q.S.

🩸 METHOD OF PREPARATION
The required herbs are cleaned, powdered, and triturated with suitable liquid to prepare a paste (Kalka).

🩸 MODE OF USE
Applied externally over the affected region according to the disease condition and dosha involvement.

(1) Vrana (Wounds)
(2) Daha (Burning sensation)
(3) Shotha (Inflammation, swelling)
(4) Kandu (Itching)
(5) Vata-Pitta-Kapha Vikara (as per specific formulation)
